「Needs updating. The rooms rug was torn, couldn’t use the TV. Couldn’t even watch the morning news. The air conditioner was loud and couldn’t find a switch or way to turn on lights by the nightstand.」

「Things were all older and dated, but everything was clean. Bedsheets were so old they were nubby. Bathroom was fine with very soft water. Included breakfast was marginal, with pop tarts and weak coffee. It was interesting having a busy bar in the midst of the building, adding character. It is also a gathering place for both Harley bikers and golfers for the adjacent course; quite a contrast. It's the only place around, so if we go to another concert in Mt.Carroll, we'll probably stay again.」

「Very new hotel. Accommodations were fine. Took a while to get got water up to my room (was booked into the 4th floor). However, once the water was warm, it was good. Didn't like being told i had to pay a coverage for damage to the room. Charged $50 that'll be refunded at some point. Not sure when that'll be. Would've been nice to know that at the time of making the booking and not feeling forced to comply when I'm at the check-in counter. Overall, I'm town on if I'll book another stay here....

「The actual beds and breakfast at this hotel are very good! The staff is nice and helpful with requested towels and blankets. It is affordable and conveniently located in a beautiful region of the state. Unfortunately, the property also shows many signs of age and dilapidation. In our room, the curtains were torn, the carpets felt, and in places, looked dirty and worn. And the bathroom was need of several minor repairs, the doors stuck and needed paint. It could be cleaner.
