The check-in process was located away from the property but we were given very clear instructions on where to go. The whole process was very smooth and easy and the provided shuttle to the property was awesome. The room itself was very clean and all amenities were easy to find. A coin laundry was located in the building and instructions on how to use them were clear. Would have been nice to have a coin exchange. There was a currency exchange machine but as the laundry machines only took coins, it was occasionally difficult to find enough coins.

My kids loved the projector and sleeper sofa. It was a really comfortable cozy room and after a long day of sight seeing, coming home to this cozy room was very nice and relaxing.

It’s a good place. The only thing is taxi drivers can’t find this hotel. I dont know why. But it’s a very convenient hotel. With everything inside each rooms like kitchen utensils. You can even cook in the room theres an electric range. Bathroom’s nice too

Very well thought out studio type hotel room, with extra touches to make ones stay convenient like a hot plate, separate sink for washing dishes and food, microwave, etc... Location was excellent. The check in process of being off-site is cumbersome if you are not going through Kyoto station already, however they were helpful and being able to store luggage while site seeing prior to check in was appreciated. Great stay overall!

The apartment type hotel was perfect. It was small but efficient. It had a little kitchen equipped with everything we needed to cook, a microwave, stove top, hot pot, pan, dishes, utensils, and fridge. Even had a washer. Near grocery store and eateries. Train station in walking distance. The only glitch is the check in counter was a bit away. It's across Kyoto station and closed at 2000. It required us to take a short trip on a train to get to it the next day as we arrived after closing. Not too big a deal. We'll definitely stay again.

Six nights in Kyoto at Resi Stay Higashiyama Sanjo
We stayed for 6 nights in Kyoto. The Resi Stay is a appartment hotel with a functional kitchen, utensils and a clothes washer. Great for a longer stay. Very well located and close to all major bus routes. Large size with a small dining table so makes an in-house meal possible. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay near downtown Kyoto
An excellent value (we got a special rate for choosing the "no cancellation" option) within walking distance of a lively part of downtown Kyoto and the subway. Room, beds, shower, and kitchen were all good. The Reception/Check-in office was a little tricky to find at night -- maybe a big lit-up sign outside the office building would help? But the staff were friendly and helpful and it was convenient getting a shuttle ride to the actual hotel from the Reception Office. We stayed 17 days in total in Japan and 3 nights here -- this was probably our best hotel, especially for the price.

Wish I could ResiStay forever!
My sister and I loved every part of our stay here. Amazing service, location, and a 4 star room. High quality and attention to detail in everything. Super comfortable beds; quiet and convenient location; fast WiFi, useful information book, and so great to have a kitchenette, couch, dining table, and laundry machine. I could seriously live at ResiStay!

Stayed here for 4 days. My family really enjoyed the play although it is a little small for 3 adults. Room very clean, nice, bright with a small balcony. Free washing machine in the room with free detergent which was a surprise plus!. Tricky to find the Resi Stay reception near Kyoto Station, but info desk in the station helped. Free one way shuttle to the hotel. Hotel conveniently located near Subway and bus station, 5-10 minutes walk. Had a small kitchenette, microwave/toaster and fridge. No time to cook though. Would definitely stay here again next time.

Check in is at a seperate location, however they will shuttle you professionally to the property after check in! Location is amazing, many shops and restaurants less than a 10 minute walk away. There are also a few convenience stores very close by. The room was clean and a nice place to unwind after a long day. For the price, the location and amenities are hard to beat.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable, You will check in at a different location but they offer a shuttle service which is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided us with maps etc. our room was comfortable. The building is located in a quiet street yet very close to the main attractions. You will be in the Gion district with a lot to see and do.

It was very hard to find the check in counter, upon arrival the office was extremely crowded. It would of been nice to have a shuttle upon checkout back to the Kyoto station area.

Loved staying here. Compact and functional kitchen area with washing machine and instructions for use of all appliances in English. Small balcony from sleeping/dining area for drying clothes and/or relaxing. Easy walking to MRT and various bus routes in both directions and many restaurants and a pub on Sanjo-dori. Check out the great coffee shop on the intersection with Sanjo-dori and the street to the right of the building as you leave it. Within walking distance of Gion and the shopping districts.

I stayed in RESI STAY Higashiyama Sanjo for the conference. Overall it is great. However, the microwave in my room was broken (but not a big deal as I ate out most of the time). And please note that there are stairs at the front door so it's not wheerchair nor stroller friendly.

Good little apartment in Kyoto
We liked our little apartment. It was close to Sanjo station, a short walk to Gion and shopping in Kyoto. A short walk to lots of restaurant choices so only used the kitchenette for one dinner and breakfasts. The first morning we woke up to throat singing chanting which we think was from one of the nearby temples (after8am) We hired bikes through resi stay- the seats were however very uncomfortable and we needed a couple of days rest in between use but still was really good to ride around Kyoto - we rode to imperial palace, along the river and to Fushimi Inari Taisha within 2 days out of 5 use it was cheaper then other bike hire. Bed was the softest and most comfortable bed we had in Japan out of 5 different accommodations. A little score less as there was a fair bit of water in toilet floor when we arrived (not sure why.. possibly a bidet accident when cleaning?) however otherwise the apartment was clean looking and air conditioner and other air conditioners in apartment block were a little noisy - we didn’t need to use as the apartment was warm when we arrived home after sightseeing daily. We stayed in superior room and second bed (which was more firm) was good to have space for our bags. We would recommend.
