What a gem!! Staff was wonderful and goes above and beyond to help you have a great experience They recognize you the next day after you check in - you are not just a face in the crowd. Housekeeping keeps the place so clean and breakfast was amazing !!

This hotel had the best English speaking, friendly, respectful staff in Japan. Our rooms had beautiful view of the temple and really enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel as well. The hotel is fairly new and beautiful!

The Hotel was very nice clean and up to date and very beautiful…. The staff was amazing they were immediately there to help for every need …. And the Manger was doing a very exceptional job….

Excellent staff, with a great sense of hospitality. Very clean rooms and very excellent service. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very courteous and very kind. Would very much recommend this location to others and I definitely plan on staying here for my future trips in kyoto.

This is a premium hotel. The service and staff were accommodating and very gracious. The room and surrounding area were spectacular. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to create a wonderful Kyoto experience. We will be back.

Amazing service. Fantastic food and presentation in hotel restaurant. Very comfortable and beautifully designed room with everything you could possibly need provided. Attention to detail in everything. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful property with beautiful rooms. Staff are beyond courteous and level of service is outstanding. They really make sure you are taken care of. I will stay here next trip to Kyoto.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei. We love the friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Our experience from check-in to check-out was amazing. Hotel is very beautiful, clean and very well maintained. And we also love the serenity of the place. We will definitely stay here again if we come to Kyoto.

Our favorite hotel in Japan! The atmosphere was so special that it really felt like home to us. Our rooms were extremely spacious and beautifully decorated in harmony with the landscape. There’s an excellent restaurant and bar. The chef is very attentive to food allergy and diet restrictions. An ideal location for exploring many temples on foot. All respect for the general manager and all of his staff who do a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! We will come back.

Probably the best hotel in Kyoto, beautiful location and landscaping, amazing service, great breakfasts, surrounded by many key walkable attractions without the busy tourists, highly recommend this property

The entire feeling is so peaceful and zen. The color scheme, the furniture and the beautiful Japanese garden which the dining room looks out on is beautiful. The staff is absolutely top flight--they did everything they possibly could to make our stay memorable from finding restaurants to helping with tight travel plans. The hotel offered free mini-bar and free afternoon wine/beer. Breakfast was first rate as well. Loved the room decor and the well planned interior. A wonderful hotel.

Super hotel with some improvements
A great hotel with excellent service if you like luxury a little outside the city center, but still close. You need to be aware that it is a big difference on rooms facing the garden and the street. The reason you want to be there is to face the garden and the view to the shrine. The restaurant concept is kind of a miss so prepare to eat outside. Lobby menu is ok, but you sit in uncomfortable chairs for dining outside the emty restaurant with set french meny which seems silly. Breakfast is excellent. There are many good restaurants in short distance. All in all very good if you know what yoy buy.

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay. We could see a temple from our hotel. That was really nice. The hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Everyone communicates in English well, so that makes things super smooth for us. Breakfast was fantastic. The only reason I didn't give full score for service was because we had to wait for quite some time for our breakfast to come on the second day. We were not in a rush, so it was fine, but it would have been stressful if we had been.

ホテルオークラのサービスの歴史を感じる上質なホテル
全体としては価格に相応しい素晴らしいホテルの設備とサービスそして食事だったと思います。 唯一の不満。バスタブの材質のせいか、バスタブの底が滑りやすと感じました。夫婦ともに足を滑らせ、後から入る私のためにバスタブを少し洗っていた妻が、本格的に滑り、バスタブの手すりで腰を強打して、現在痛みがひどくなっています。休み明けに一度医者に診てもらうと話しています。同じような方が他にもいらっしゃらないのでしょうか？大きな事故にならないことを願いますが、一度バスタブのクオリティは確認された方が良いように思いました。
