This hotel had everything we needed. The location is excellent, literally 2 minutes walk to the square. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts are very good and the staff are friendly and helpful with excellent English. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
There are inexpensive bars and restaurants located just outside on the same street that we frequented. The staff organised our transportation to and from the airport. They also organised a tour of Auschwitz but I would recommend you not taking a guided tour of any kind as they all make you leave at 6am and are way too expensive. Once there you do not get enough time to see everything. You would be far better off paying for your entrance online (about 6 weeks before travel date) and organise your travel by train or bus/taxi as it is much much cheaper. When seeing the city negotiate a fair price with the driver of the electric vehicles as they will command too high a price if not, but they are very good in our experience just too pricey.
