The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.

Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

The owner and staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. They also went out of their way to make sure any questions we had were answered. Parking was free, great complimentary breakfast. Property is about a 40 minute drive from the airport, 15 min walk from the center of town. They really care about their business here. Support local small businesses. They truly care.

The house is fantastic. Very nicely decorated with all amenities. Beautiful view of Reykjavik and a convenient drive to all of its sights. The owner Sigi is very welcoming and helpful. Can't ask for anything more!

My wife and I just finished up a November vacation in Iceland. We plan to do another vacation to Iceland again in summertime so we can drive the Ring Road route. When we come back, we're already looking forward to staying at this hotel again -- the staff mostly consists of the owners, and they take pride in seeing that their services and quality are of a high standard, while yet at very reasonable prices. Everyone is most attentive, the rooms are very clean and have a quirky decorative charm,...

I traveled with my husband and 1 year old. This was a very clean place with a lot of space. We loved being able to do some grocery shopping to eat at our place at the end of the day. Great base - we explored Reykjavik, Snaefellsness peninsula from here. Wish I would have stayed here my first night as a base to explore the Golden Circle as well.

The entire process of checking in and communicating with the host was very easy. Although the property is not in the Coty Center, the buses were very easy to navigate.

Staff was extremely helpful with ideas for things to do during a blizzard. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was cozy and warm. Great location.

Clean neat room, great staff, great services! Room does not have tooth brush or paste, soap otherwise perfect. Location not close to flybus stop is a probably the only minus.

The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for the last few days of our trip.

I LOVED IT HERE! I am a single woman who travels alone, and my safety drives my decisions when I travel. Initially I regretted staying away from the city center, but after I figured out the logical bus system, I was grateful for being in a quiet area. My room was austere and clean. The kitchen was adequate. One thing I encourage the owners to invest in: a dresser or a shelf for guests to put their clothes. Four hangers is inadequate. Also, at least one table by the bed would be good for...

Had an amazing experience. The apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and goes above and beyond. Love this play so much that I almost dont want to share how good it is in fear that prices will go up for next time I come to Iceland!

I had the most enjoyable stay at Eyja Guldsmeden! A very clean hotel with excellent service! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Special thanks to Laura who was super nice and helpful with dining recommendations! Will be back!

Best view and

My husband, son (1 year), and I stayed here in November. The studio had a wonderful bathroom with a towel warmer! Believe me, you will want it. Great kitchenette and comfy beds. The hotel provides FREE milk, juice, and cereal for your stay. Oh, and tons of free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for FREE! The staff was very friendly. We also hired a sitter through them for an adult visit to the Blue Lagoon. The sitter showed up 30 minutes early to meet our son and review things. She was...

Excellent hotel, location and staff. Very clean!

The property was beautiful. Updated, and the staff is very friendly. There was no parking, so that got a little pricey if you wanted to park close to the hotel, but I think that’s the norm in Reykjavík. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland.

Location was very good. Parking garage is quite close. Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. Cute place

Clean, cozy, beautiful, well located hotel! Above all, the hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They helped us immediately when we had issues finding the bus back to the airport, and solved our problem and our stress of missing our flight. For us that was service above expectations and we are so greatful. I will always recommend staying here!! Thank you!
