"This hotel has the most amazing onsen. There are 2 x floors of different spa and bathing options including sauna and steam room. There is also a swimming pool which we didn’t even get time to use. The onsen looks over the Hells Gate sight which is amazing. Deer are outside too. You can have beer in the outdoor onsen between certain hours as well. Would definitely recommend staying 2 nights so you can relax in the multitude of onsen choices!"

"Nonokaze Resort is luxurious stay from the room view, spacious room, luxurious big onsen baths (outdoor bath was spectacular view of lake toya), good buffet breakfast and dinner with lake Toya view. Nice walk around the lake just outside the hotel. And night walk at the illumination tunnel nearby."

"We were very pleased with the location, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful everywhere. The building isn’t brand new but it’s well kept and clean. In fact I was expecting something a bit more old fashioned after looking on the Expedia listing. Overall a very nice time with a beautiful view of Lake Toya wherever you go! "

"The hotel is at the beginning of the town. It is across from the bus terminal to get to the station or Date Jidaimura. It's actually a 5 min walk to a 7-11 but can't tell from there. The workers will always willing to help with calling cabs. Compassionate when I had my 10 yr old daughter and they let me add her to my reservation for around 5000 yen with my 12 yr old son and did NOT charge us 17000 yen like a nearby hotel did. Enjoyed the onsen. Iron, salt, sulfur, etc baths. I love the outside one."

"Hotel need to be updated.Hot springs are fantastic, very clean and well maintained.Breakfast and dinner were amazing, great selection and staff were great.Two ladies on reception were helpful but no English speaking staff, they used phone to translate.The young fella on the reception haven’t tried to help at all when we requested help. Only problem was the transfer, They emailed us that they will pick up/ drop off our group of 6 from/ to the airport without any change but after they ignore their email and charge us $400 to the airport……"
