"This was my first time ever staying at a 4-star hotel in Tokyo, whereas it’s been in my experience as a solo traveler moreover to resort to places where a public onsen is offered on-site and perhaps a gym too, for the amenities. The Metropolitan Hotel Ikeburo was quite a phenomenal hotel for the standardized room size unexpectedly. The room chamber upon entry was greatly spacious with a Japanese double-sized bed with lots of pillows, a built in sitting bank lining the window with overhead lighting and pillows, plus a very heavy round marble coffee table next to it. An oversized TV screen was situated directly over the built in desk with drawers for a coffee maker and mini-fridge to either side. The architectural interior design was aesthetically a French-inspired curvilinear wood and canopy woodworking throughout the room’s layout. Replete in deep teals, greys, and lighter greyed wood features. The bathroom was medium sized, larger than many smaller hotel units designed for single occupancy. With a clothes closet next to the bedside. Pros: ‘Great’ for one person. Cons: Not enough space for luggage, especially between two travelers occupying the same room. Hotel amenities such as a full sized gym was highly exceptional for athletes of all ages. However, the pool too small for most any visitor there at the hotel, only being a 25-meter two lanes 4-5 foot deep swimming run. Not very amenable with the number of individuals allowed at any given moment on the spot. No Onsen "

"Great place, right by the famous Japanese fish market which is essentially now simply a walkable tourist filled fiod stalls. Easy access within 5 min walk from nearest tokyo metro station. We stayed there 3 nights- one more than expected/plan as our plane was canceled. From here, you can get to pretty much everywhere you want to go easily by the Tokyo Metro. There is a nice, not fancy bath which is free to hotel guest; whereas it is open to the public from 10 AM onward for ¥1700 (as of January 2026). Overall, I really liked the hotel. We stayed in two rooms, one was a double room that allowed for three people in semi comfort. The other one for two people is tight but reasonable for Tokyo standards. The staff is really good and gives good recommendations for eateries in the nearby area. "

"In a very good location close to subway, Tokyo station, and Giza. The room is clean and organized. The space in the room is limited. We had two people but the space we had was just fitting one suitcase that could be opened. The second suitcase had to be closed to leave room to walk. Other than that it was a nice and pleasant stay. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful, first stay in Japan. The location was excelled i travelled for Wrestle Kingdom at the Tokyo Dome and shows at Korakuen Hall. Tokyo Dome City is in walking distance, tons of restaurants and shops. Lots to explore and there are train stations nearby too. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Arigato gozaimasu"
