Breakfast and dinner buffets provided ample options, including a make your own hotpot for one. A great place to relax and spend the night after exploring Kurodake ropeway and the surrounding portion of Daisetsuzan National Park."

"Very well maintained and constant refurbished hotel since Showa period.
Full of nature attractions. Dinner & breakfast are excellent. Hotel did many activities In conjunction w 70th anniversary. Souvenir shop has lots of Hokkaido related items. We can even observed deers in the wild.
3 big Onsen bath with excellent views.
Due to very remote position, better to have self drive to for better access. "

"The hotel aesthetic is wonderful, the rooms were spacious and clean, the food provided was wonderful and the hot springs were incredible. The location is slightly difficult to get to as a foreigner (I speak very little Japanese but can read a little bit) but once there it was an incredible experience. Easily one of the nicest locations and hotels I’ve stayed in."

"This hotel is very outdated. No charging USB port for electronic devices in the room.
The room is very big 37m2 but the toilet and shower areas are extremely small.
Even hard to turn around in the shower room to get change. No hooks to hang clothings in the shower room or bathroom or doors before shower.
The dinner buffet is rather mediocre. Spans a lot of area but the quality not very good.
The crabs provided in the buffet not tasty. Luckily we paid extra to get a Japanese hairy crab...
