"Traveling with our dog in the fall, and spent a night in a King bed cabin. All rooms are pet friendly for a very modest fee (especially compared to what some of the chain hotels charge these days). This is a family run lodge and restaurant. The cabin was cozy (small) but clean and had character. The bathroom seemed recently updated. All the staff were warm and welcoming. Many of the summer activities and amenities were closed for the season, but we were just passing through, so it didn’t matter to us. Although we were close to the highway, the traffic was very light during the night, so it was quiet enough to sleep well. Other rooms are farther up the hill. We enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant."

"The room was clean and we would stay there again. However, the mattress needs to be replaced. Breakfast consisted of several choices of cold cereal, juices and a Jimmy Dean's microwave croissant sandwich. It was good enough to get us going. The property is older but okay. The front desk staff was very helpful and the person working breakfast was consistently cleaning the area and replenishing juices and milks as needed."

"Nice cabins, quiet and set back from road. Convenient to local attractions. Our cabin had a refrigerator and a microwave but no cooking equipment so planning meals for us meant going out, eating something cold or planning to reheat something you brought back. Not a huge deal but plan accordingly All in all I would definitely recommend HOLY SMOKE"
