"Hotel was undergoing renovations, so with that being said our room was freshly updated/ and several new things. The staff was kind and very helpful. Breakfast was filling and had hot and cold items to choose from, the dining area was very nice. The pool seemed nice although we did not use it."
"We had a stop over at the Viking and the room was clean and had everything you might need- hair dryer and iron. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend."
"Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly, kind, and informative. Our hotel room was spacious and perfectly clean, and the furnishings were comfortable and beautiful. We stayed on a Wednesday night, and a lovely, free, evening snack bar including salad, bread, cheeses, summer sausage, soup, wine and beer was provided with the stay. Later in the evening we ordered room service from the fabulous in-hotel restaurant, YaYa’s. It’s a European bistro and the food was excellent. A Starbucks is also housed within the hotel. Our hotel room was very quiet…we couldn’t hear anything outside of our room except for a few rumbles of thunder throughout the night. After a great night’s rest, we went to the first floor for breakfast. The continental breakfast was the best we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Everything imaginable was available, including scrambled eggs, sausage links, shredded chicken, potatoes, salsa verde, shredded cheddar cheese, shells (to make breakfast burritos), grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe. yogurt parfaits, oatmeal with chia seeds, a variety of juices, coffee, a variety of pastries, etc. The food was wonderful! There was even a sign near the breakfast items letting guests know they could talk to the kitchen staff if they had dietary restrictions. The pool was very well maintained and the pool area was so inviting. The furnishings throughout the hotel were gorgeous, and staff members were all friendly. We’ll return to Salina just to stay here again!"
"Black mold in our room around the air conditioner. When I brought it up to the staff they just said sorry. Only nice thing was the pool and hot tub. Otherwise way over priced and the building is gross and run down. Do not recommend."
