"Fifth Ave is a fairly new hotel. The location is great, surrounded by some local cafes and plenty of food stalls. The hotel room lay-out is also unique. There is a separated space of kitchen with dining table and chairs. The walk-in wardrobe, in my opinion, was an excellent design for the room. Good size bathroom with separate toilet area and large shower box. Overall, for our 5 nights stay, we felt the room gave us plenty space to relax. Also having our lugage stored away in the walk-in wardrobe was great! The roof top pool and gym were well laid out. Both facing the harbour with nice city views. The drinks and food menu at the bar by the pool was limited. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice of both asian and western styles. Unfortunately, most of the hot food was always cold."

"Great stay in this historic property, conveniently located in the heart of the George Town UNESCO district, mere steps away from the nearest phenomenal restaurant. The bathroom was OK, and our towels were a bit musty to begin with (but were replaced upon request). However, the beds were super comfortable. We appreciated the daily bottled water and the breakfasts. The morning staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful with suggestions and offers to call taxis; the afternoon/evening staff a little less so. Be aware that the proximity to the nearby Kapitan Keling Mosque meant for some loud mornings and late evenings. The broadcasts on the minaret's loud speakers went way beyond the typical two-minute call to prayer five times a day. Some hours, it seemed more like the imam was preaching long sermons over the speakers which made sleep sometimes tricky. Overall, we liked this place, and would stay here again."

"Great, everything works. Only inconvenience to note if u book the same room under 2 different reservations, u need to reactivate your room cards for the next booking. We stayed over 3 nights. Booked 2 nights with breakfast & 1 without breakfast coz of an early flight. We had to reactivate the cards even though it’s for the same room, under the same name."
