On the way to Öland stayed one night in Kalmar, and the hotel was close to the Kalmarslott (Kalmar Palace). It is nice sightseening place!

There are a number of different buildings to this hotel. We upgraded to a “quad” for the larger space. It contained a king bed and a pullout sofa which we did not pull out. The room was clean and the shower good. A plus was the heated towel rack which dried a number of things in our 2day stay. Our room happened to be in a lovely old house which unfortunately happened to be on the corner of this large property. If the windows were open , it was loud from traffic noise. Closing the windows actually made it quiet and after 11 there was no traffic at all. The property is country European with a restaurant in the back (our dinner was delightful and accompanied by an adorable young accordion player in a semi-covered courtyard.) There is an outdoor hot tub ( which we did not try) and various outdoor relaxing areas plus an inside and outside bar. We were there late August and the seemingly ever present breeze made the high temperatures and 70% humidity bearable. It cooled at night and so did the parties outside at the hotel. The staff are all wonderfully accommodating both in the hotel and the restaurant. We recommend Slottshotellet

Mysig innegÄrds bar/restaurang. Hotellet uppdelat pÄ mÄnga mindre hus. Det vi sov i var av Àldre modell och vÀldigt mysigt Àven om rummet var relativt ordinÀrt. Trevlig personal och bra service. Vi kommer att Äterkomma om övernattning i Kalmar.

Super mysigt och fint. Rummet var riktigt najs, liten toalett bara. Bra service, trevlig och hjÀlpsam personal. Dock vid utcheckning kunde receptionisten inte se att bokningen var förskottsbetald sÄ hon ville bevis.

Die Lage des Hotels ist toll. Einen Parkplatz auf dem HotelgelĂ€nde konnten wir leider nicht erhalten, das freundliche Personal verwies auf einen öffentlichen Parkplatz in der NĂ€he ( war 5 min Fußweg entfernt, gĂŒnstig, OK !) Leider hatte unser Zimmer keine Klimaanlage, so dass wir auf grund der sommerlichen Temperaturen nachts bei offenem Fenster und mit stĂ€ndig brummender Beschallung durch eine KĂŒhlanlagen o.Ă€ aus dem KĂŒchen-Bar-GebĂ€ude im Innenhof schlafen mußten. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war tadellos.

Hotellet Àr dock Àldre sÄ i de rum vi bott i har det inte funnits AC. Denna gÄng vi bodde pÄ hotellet lÄg vÄrt rum mot slottet, sÄ rummet var svalt ÀndÄ dÄ det skuggades av trÀden i allén.
