The service and the staff is excellent. The hotel has 12 rooms and a restaurant. Its close to city center.

The pictures do not do it justice. If you are from North America this will give you the ultimate cozy Scandinavian vibe. The lighting, candles even during breakfast, and room decor was such a welcome in the cold rainy days in October. It was bare bones with no conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer but still simple, cozy with warm people working there. The beautiful library is across the street and great to see. So quick and easy to the downtown centre. Centrally located. We loved our stay!!

The staff were life-savers! They are all so friendly. All speak English very well. Check in is different from an American chain so plan ahead to be in hotel restaurant by 20:00, or make easy arrangements. The room was so quaint and beautiful. Breakfast was so traditional. I loved it. I've missed Kalmar and it was good to make a visit back and stay at this lovely place.

Trevlig vistelse i Kalmar

Trevligt bemötande, önskemål om byte av rum fixades. Rum av äldre snitt, men skön säng med bra kuddar. Lagom frukost utan något extra. Praktiskt med restaurang och liten butik i hotellet.

Mycket fint och hemtrevligt!

Jag bodde på Hotell Hilda tre nätter i samband med ett akademiskt besök i Kalmar. Redan när jag kom dit var alla extremt vänliga och hjälpsamma och jag kände mig verkligen välkommen. Jag bodde i enkelrum, det var mycket bekvämt och rent och hade en väldigt hemtrevlig känsla vilket jag verkligen uppskattade - när man bor flera nätter är det väldigt skönt att slippa den stela känslan av "hotell". Jag upplevde inga ljud utifrån/från andra rum eller korridoren, och jag sov väldigt bra alla nätter. Atmosfären på hela hotellet var överlag toppen! Hotellets utsida och innergård är dessutom väldigt pittoreskt och vackert. Hilda har en restaurang som på kvällen serverar fantastisk napolitansk pizza och gott vin - suveränt när man är trött och inte orkar gå ut för att leta matställe. Jag behövde checka ut tidigt innan ordinarie frukosttid, och då ordnade hotellet en jättefin frukostpåse åt mig att ta med på resan. Sammanfattningsvis rekommenderar jag verkligen hotell Hilda, och om jag kommer tillbaka till Kalmar kommer jag definitivt att bo här igen!
