Comfy stay with a good price. Property was a bit difficult to find even for the locals. Good location with lots of options close for walking, food and things to do. We will be staying again in the fall

The hotel is just outside city center with free parking. The service is great. They have standard breakfast. There is also a pantry with fridge.

Do not let the exterior fool you. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are relatively spacious compared to other European hotel rooms, you have a private bath, there's no a/c but the windows open and there's a fan. The breakfast buffet was minimalist, but there is a communal kitchen to which you have access 24/7. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is located a block from a grocery store and less than a mile from Gamla Stan. The hostess is incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough good things about our stay there.

This property suited our needs for an overnight stay. Parking was easy and convenient. They offered a breakfast buffet in the morning that was nice. The room was clean, as was the property. We never interacted with anyone, so if we had any questions, it might have been difficult. The area around the hotel seemed commercial, but we were just there for an overnight stay for nearby visit.

We did not receive hotel entry code. A guest eventually let us in once he clarified our name. Very poor breakfast selection. In the back of a light industrial area. There is a bus on main road 403 2 stops into town or 15 min walk. Parking limited in town.

Basic and No-frills Hotel

Kalmar Hotell is a no-frill and basic hotel. During my check-in there was no one at the reception. Rather, I was sent instruction on how to open the main door and where to pick up the key. The hotel room is also very simple, clean and basic (tea and coffee is complementary). The breakfast however leaves a lot to be desired. The bread is old and there is not much of an option. The breakfast buffet is very basic and offers mainly cold items. It is a hotel you select if you just want a place to sleep. Location wise it is outside the main city hub, hence it lacks the vibe and atmosphere of other city hotels.

Vi saknade att det inte fanns toalett o dusch på rummet, främst toalett, detta hade vi totalt missat om det ens fanns ngn info om detta, förutsåg väl att det var standard Frukosten var helt ok , fanns det mesta och rent snyggt o fräscht var det. Den personal man ev träffade var trevlig En liten karta med de restauranger som finns inom stadskärnan m gångavstånd hade uppskattats.

Obemannat större delen av tiden. En stackars tjej som var där vid frukosten annars helt tomt på personal. Frukosten var inte den bästa men man hittade något att äta. Lätt att hitta och bra parkering. Lite tråkigt område men det är inte hotellets fel.

Oron för icke-bemannad reception stillades efter informativt samtal om rutinerna för incheckning mm. Positivt med "gäst-kök" och tillgång till kyl/frys och mikro. Rent och fräscht rum. Varmt, men fläkt fanns! Välskött frukost utan frosseri! Priset i högsta laget.

Rent och helt ok standard men frukosten väldigt tråkig. Dock väldigt varmt på rummet. Fläkt fanns men svårt att sova med den igång. Torra bullar och väldigt basic utbud. Kunde stått att det endast var kontinentalfrukost, men ingen information som jag hittat.
