"This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! Amazing view of the mountains. The cottage was spacious, warm, beautifully presented and had all the amenities as described. The reception staff were so friendly and were able to help us with a few questions in English. They even gave us a mobile phone so we could call them from the cottage if required. "Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. "Charming property exceptionally clean, special mention of the wonderful onsen, enjoyed our most unusual experience of sleeping in a traditional Japanese room with tatami mats. Our dinner in the restaurant was superb, kudos to the skilled chef! Matsumoto is a lovely town with a slow paced vibe , so different from other Japanese cities."

"Very nice hotel with welcoming touch. Service at the desk was really nice, we enjoyed the complimentary drink. Huge breakfast selection. Well situated to walk around the city. Matsumoto is a charming city with great vibe. Should have stayed one more day."
