"My corner room was beautifully laid out and everything felt high-end. The only negative was that the library was moved to the mezzanine level and compacted to a few bookshelves in the hallway. The 3000 volume library advertised and pictured on their website simply did not exist. But really everything else about the hotel was fantastic."

"I have stayed here more than once, and I come back for the amenities and the location. The nighttime fire outside is a wonderful draw, and the food here is good. The breakfast, however, is nothing to speak of, and is even more sparse than it appears to be in the images provided by the hotel. The atmosphere is great, and the games available for borrowing make it a great place for kids. However, the amenities charge of $30 a night should just be included in the nightly charge instead of being something extra that is paid upon arrival. It makes the pricing seem misleading. They also charge another $50 per night that is returned upon checkout, but it puts a large dent in your wallet in the meantime. I was not impressed that they expected the guests to make their own beds instead of having housekeeping make the beds by default. You must request housekeeping if you want it. If you use a wheelchair, be aware that their accessible rooms are very small in terms of space between the beds and around the beds, and the beds cannot accommodate a Hoyer lift under them. The beds are very soft and may not work well for certain disabilities. They have no roll-in showers, only tubs, if you need two beds in your accessible room. However, the staff were very helpful in moving the beds so that I could navigate the room better. All in all, I would stay there again, keeping in mind the extra charges that are not listed on the reservation."

"It is a beautiful hotel and very well maintained. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We checked in late, but the valet was still available. It cost $60 to valet park overnight, but there is also a public parking garage across the street. The neighborhood around the hotel seems clean enough and I never felt unsafe. I would definitely stay herr again."
