With new COVID-19 safety measures to adhere to, travel looks a bit different at the moment. Here are a few things to know before you pack your suitcase for Jandia:

• Find out what rules and restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check government advisories before booking.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Instead, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, place personal items such as your belt, phone and wallet into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• If you want to take food through the screening checkpoint, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
