Strange experience! Booked for 4 persons, got a 3 person room! Actually on the site is designated a king bed and a double, but even in small letters a double and a single. Anyhow, I booked for 4, so I want 4 beds!
1 lift was out of order, second stuck while I was in. Lift makes strange noises, not trustworthy. Takes long time until you get a lift, crowds waiting in front!
Room was like a labyrinth, don't trust the pix.
Quite loud, no soundproofing! Balcony shabby.
For any activity you must apply online, quite strange. Only 10 people allowed in the pool, cause the fake virus will jump around! Then more than 20 people were in the water, nobody considered the application. Hereto pool only until 5pm!! Because of hoax pandemic! But Ascott pool is open until 10pm, same Owner!
Anyhow nice pool are.
Breakfast only in boxes, no access to the restaurant, even during the day people present there! Because of the pandemic? In other hotels breakfast in the restaurant is possible, e.g. Oakwood! But seems for the management it's more convenient and cheaper to distribute food boxes, since they're the same like in Ascott!
A sign at the reception says 'stay home'! So Somerset do not want me to stay there?
I asked for a late check out, they wanted me to pay for, they were not aware that I'm an ASR member, even I told them, just ignored!!!
In all not recommended, better pay bit more and you'll have a more relaxed stay in a professional managed hotel!
