All was good except for the WiFi connection not available in the room to work on the laptop and thus had to come down to the lobby every time. This was in spite for informing/complaining to the authorities.

Be mindful when choosing Pay At The Hotel option from Wotif. There is no terms and conditions mentioning when you should be at the hotel to check in and sort out the payment. Apparently, if we use debit card and not in the hotel by 6PM, the room is cancelled automatically. This is not in booking confirmation and we never receive any message or call related to this (including when the hotel is cancelling our stay)

Value for money. Can’t fault it too much.
Contrary to reviews, I found the staff courteous and able to understand English. Can’t fault the hotel for the price paid in the location, however there are some stuff which can be improved; room doors can be affixed with soft closing cos a lot of slamming can be heard, also the walls are not soundproof and there was 1 nite the next room was chatting away and children making a lot of noise. There can be more hooks to be placed in the room/bathroom since there is no closet. Breakfast is decent. On the whole pretty happy with the hotel n staff.

Good Low-Cost Option
This is a good budget option. Beware of the paper-thin walls, though. I heard my neighbor’s toilet routine as well as anything else that happened in his room or the hallway.

The staff is soooo nice and the food is everything
I need to check in so late - on 11 pm, and got a nice guy to help me filling the document. The staff was so helpful when I ask some recommended food and mini market. Love the interior so much but the female staffs was so awkward. Their wearing a white wig btw. The breakfast is everything esp. their fillet dory. Would love to comeback soon!

I've stayed in this hotel few times. This stay was very disappointing. The room AC was not working and despite multiple complaints and feedback, the hotel took their own sweet time to address our issue while we sweat away in the room. Eventually we spoke with the hotel manager and insisted a room change.

The hotel is new and clean but room size is tiny small. The hotel is in the middle of Block-M and many restaurants(including Japanese restaurants) around by walking distance. It was very nice comfortable stay in Jakarta.

Hotel Neo Melawai Excelent
I very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Location is very good, near two huge shopping malls. The latest movies can be seen there. It is very safe to walk in the area. The breakfast is terrific, good coffee and krupoek with Indonesian dishes. You can also have some eggs if you like.

Beautifull hotel only 5 minute walk to beach.
Excellent hotel close to the beach. The accomodations are exquisite and the hotel was absolutley beautifull. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to a beautifull Bali beach. It is also a short 10 minute walk to the main tourist area where you can find shopping and bars.

I stayed here to be near a friend who worked at a nearby hotel. Overall my stay was nice. The room and common areas were clean, and the hotel was located at Blok M in Jakarta, with plenty to do within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel has all the comforts western travelers would be used to; hot water, free wi-fi, free breakfast, laundry service. The bathroom came with basic amenities, such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, and shower cap. The price was very reasonable, I paid around under US $30 per night. I am one who likes fitness on the go, and the only personal downside was this hotel did not have a gym/fitness center. I would stay here again otherwise.

Best budget hotel I have stayed in. Incredible window view, clean facility, good TV, great shower hot and cold, clean mirrors. Easy to call the front desk, lock box operational. Everything was on point. Good job NEO, will trust you guys now.

It wasn`t one of my usual places to stay at. But needed to stay in the area. Anyhow it is near to block M. Both the Plaza and the Square too. It is at a busy intersection so noise can be a problem.But handy to a Japanese take away and store. About the only store in locality where one can get a beer! None is being sold at other mini marts. Due to changes in local laws. Room was spacious, big bed but not much of wardrobe space. Staff is well versed in english. Breakfast is available although it is average at best. Room had tv, ac, safe and minibar. Of course can make ur own cuppa too.

“Trendy” but non-functional, tiny, noisy room
I selected this hotel based on TripAdvisor and Hotels.com reviews but was utterly disappointed. It started with a demand for a deposit, although the room was fully paid. Obviously the management doesn’t trust its guests to pay the bill, but the guests have to trust the hotel to take care of their precious belongings while not in the room – and without a deposit to me of course. Staff, however, friendly and helpful. Room 710 was tiny; I could not open my suite case, unless on the bed or on the floor. The room, bathroom, and linen were clean. Amenities in the bathroom minimal. Water pressure low, but hot water good and fast. Room interior design trying hard to be ‘trendy’ but instead simple non-functional. No place to hang cloths. Good desk with nice view, but alas unusable because no leg room under it. Room very noisy, not only from outside traffic, but predominantly from the lift engines constantly revving up and down, and other building sounds. Paper-thin walls, so neighbours also contribute to the noise. Wireless network in the room, with good & speedy internet speeds. Airconditioning poor: it took more than 4 hours to lower the room temperature from 27 degrees celsius to 22. Breakfast extensive choice, mostly Indonesia but also a decent croissant and coffee. Location probably good for most people, e.g., right across a big mall. I will not come back to this or any of the other NEO hotels. More value for my money elsewhere.

On the plus side, this hotel has a sleek and modern interior and is a value deal and has a good location in the south. on the minus side, they will charge you for any extra amenities you request for, the white duvet cover has some stains on them. air con temperature cannot be adjusted

Please do not stay in this hotel if you want to have a good night sleep. The noise of door slamming is terrible. Trust me they sell at this rate for a reason. Stay out of this hotel.

We stayed at superior room but it was little or no difference from the standard room (I stayed a month ago). Breakfast was good. The location was near to a mini-market and there were 2 large shopping centers within 150 meters from hotel. Taxis were easy to get. All these made our stay easier and satisfying.

A splendid stayed with friendly staff
A splendid stayed while i'm in jakarta. Stayed in a 3 star hotel but treated like a 5 star. Very friendly staff especially the staff restaurant at the ' Bite and Beer' restaurant. I had a delicious lunch there for only RP 35,000 with free refilable ice lemon tea. ( Ayam bakar set). Price very affordable. The room is basic with a good wifi. I love the bathroom, its quite big. Location is very near to Block M plaza and also a bus terminal to Airport. I will definitely return back to stay here again. Please maintain your staff hospitality and friendliness as is it.

Skip it if you want a peaceful night sleep
I can live with the small room, basic amenities and limited service. But what I can not accept is a budget hotel that sits right next to a very busy intersection and does not provide double glazed windows. The noise from street is deafening --- at all times, day and night ----- and the noise from corridors (the NEO music in corridors is still playing in my head) and guests next door is maddening. A must to avoid in my book, just for the noise alone. If noise doesn't bother you, might worth looking into for the location.
