"One of the worst hospitality service ever. Won't get a towel, bedsheet or toiletries. No cleanliness and smelly dusty rooms. No room service. Swimming pool with decayed leaves and house full of mosquitoes. Broken room locks and the bonus is you won't get water in toilet. Needless to say a poor management by owner and totally irresponsible behaviour. Please don't waste your money by looking at beautiful pics of the villa. Save your money for better stay. Even worst hotels will give better...

"I spent in Aiden's court my first nights in Sri Lanka before moving forward. This is a big 3-rooms house with a full kitchen. Microwave, gas stove and fridge are included as well tableware. "Worst stay ever - DON'T GO THERE! The place is a mess. So dirty everywhere. On top of a cabin we found a thick layer of dust and a condom package, cables were hanging out of the walls, probably blood on a pillow (so disgusting) and the pool water was so dull that we wouldn't let our kids swim in it. And on top of all that we have probably take bed bugs back home from this horrendous place. On top of that the owner all of a sudden wanted us to pay for our stay in cash even though we had payed...

"Although we arrived late at night, they accommodated us with great care. There are also excellent refrigerators and washing machines, which are recommended for long-term stays. "I stayed at Marino Beach Hotel for five nights recently and it was perfect. The staff made the biggest difference in my stay, they were friendly, available, and provided services immediately. This makes a big difference when you are jet lagged and need something early in the morning or late at night. During this trip, I happen to go to the other popular hotels in Colombo and realize how friendly and nice Marion’s staff were in comparison. The rooms were clean and staff was available to clean/help at all times. Hotel is attached to a mall so it made shopping and getting meals outside the hotel easy. There are plenty of restaurants around. Easy to get a taxi/uber. Beautiful roof top pool area, clean, secure, and with a view. The only complaint is that even though we had a sea facing balcony, the balcony smelt like food/kitchen fumes so we didn’t go outside at all. It would have been nice to seat outside and get some fresh air."
