very very poor hotel service
This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I believed the hotel was overbooked. When we arrived at abt 10:30 pm, my friends and I (we booked 2 rooms) were asked to move to Manesol Boutique Galata which has a much lower room rate (we checked the room rate for the next day from Hotels.com - Galata USD46 VS Old City Bosphorus USD344). We were upgraded to a so-called King Suite on the 2nd floor the next day which was very noisy and I had to share the bed with my friend. I would rather have a twin room instead of King Suite.
They agreed to pay for the taxi fee between the two hotels but failed to do so. And my friends were told they could meet the GM the next day, but they did not get a chance to meet the GM after 2 hours waiting. The front desk staff was unprofessional and rude. They turned a deaf ear to our request and complaint. We sent a detailed email to complain about this when we were back to our home country on and receive no reply.
