We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. "The hotel was good family room was excellent no air conditioning unfortunately, we stayed but it was a heat wave was a bit uncomfortable at night! Breakfast was good and so was the pool facilities"

"Hotel was really lovely, with helpful, friendly staff. The building is beautiful, and choice of breakfast was great. Presumably due to the age of the building, there was no air conditioning, but a large fan was provided. The only slight downside was the leaking shower, but not a deal breaker, and everything was superb, in a great area of Canterbury 😀😀"

"The whole property needs taken care of and updated. The room was very basic with a standard double bed in a large room. The linen was old and worn. The TV was very small and hang off the wall like a misplaced picture. The pine furniture was old and had a sticky film on top. The bath th was too high to step into and wasn’t the the correct shape to stand in while showering. As stated everywhere needed help and upgrading."

"On entering the hotel we immediately noticed the unkempt borders and dirty glass on the doors. The courtyard, which could have been lovely, was overgrown with weeds and dirty benches. Charged for the car park which was a rough piece of land! The room was very tired with missing handles on drawers, thin duvet and un- ironed, well used bedding. The bathroom had had a bit of a makeover but the mixer tap had no control and the water went from freezing to boiling!! Very dangerous and no warning given. The floor tiles were marked and unclean. Towels clean but old Breakfast was ‘on the go’, in a bag with a choice of a tuna melt or cheese and onion toasted - not exactly a breakfast.Poor wifi too. Extremely disappointing stay overall and we are easy going people are never ones to ever complain!! It definitely needs a HUGE makeover!!"
