"We had to switch rooms at 5am because of smoking!l They were smoking next door and in our room the smoke alarm kept beeping! The second room when we got up smelled like smoke because there were smokers next door! They are not strict on the no smoking policy! The towels were bad! We didn’t have a shower mat for when we got out of shower! In the second room we only had one set of towels! We did get more from front desk! Front desk workers were very nice! The second room had no table so we ate our dinner on the desk and in our beds! The first room was on the side by the highway and very loud!! The property had trash everywhere outside!! They should try to put people with pets on one floor and no pets on a different floor! "

"Not sure what alarm went off at 11:45pm but no one let anyone know what was going on took about an hour to get back to sleep was told coffee was 24/7 not breakfast was 6-9am no coffee till 7am was a very disappointing experience breakfast one cold cereal to choose from no fruit yogurt juice just bread for toast and waffle"

"We had a good overall stay at Hometown Inn. The service was friendly and welcoming from the start, and the owner was especially kind and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable, which we appreciated after a long day of travel. We did run into an issue with our first room, and while the staff made an effort to fix it, it couldn’t be resolved. However, they handled the situation well and quickly moved us to a new room without any hassle. That level of customer care really stood out. Overall, a solid place to stay with great service and a team that genuinely tries to make things right."

"While I wasn’t expecting anything glamorous, the hotel was beyond disappointing. Not only was it not clean I am handicapped and the door we were told to use, even though it was claimed to be the front door was around the back of the hotel. There was no free, bottled water the washing machine I was counting on was broken, the breakfast was nonexistent, and there never appeared to be anyone around at that time for help. The microwave didn’t work, and although we got a different one the next day it was still a little frustrating again it was nothing like the pictures or the amenities that were promised in their advertising. I would never stay there again."

"It was one of the best places we've ever stayed. Staff friendly, rooms beautiful, location at campus of Berea College was wonderful with a lot of history. Bed was sooo comfortable. Next time driving from OH to ATL to visit family this will definitely be the stopping point. Highly recommend."
