"We have stayed at the Belfry Inn several times, and this is simply one of the most unique jewels on Cape Cod. It is as picturesque and genuine as the pictures you see. The proprietor, Chris, is one of the true gentlemen of the industry, and his hands-on touch is evident everywhere from the artwork to his menus and style.
We stayed this time at The Painted Lady, which is a centuries-old house, that resembles something out of a whimsical children's book - gorgeous period detail, a secret staircase for Alice, and a burger restaurant! We had the front room that has gorgeous light, pillow-top bed, and a large bath tub. Wow.
The last and the best thing is the breakfast served every day, with an assortment of baked goods and other yummy things. Put Sandwich and the Belfry on your list, and go visit the Brown Jug while you're at it."
"We were pleasantly surprised! The renovated room looked modern, the bed comfortable, and very clean. It really was a great room. Phew, so grateful for the lack of carpet. I recommend a quiet, peaceful stay, waking up to the sounds of nature and the wonderful ducks."
"This was the most quaint property I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were large and lovely with updated bathrooms, a fireplace and quintessential Cape Cod decor. The property itself was in a cute little area of town and had beautiful landscaping. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or even a girls trip (I heard the spa was amazing), look no further. We will definitely be back!"
"Spacious interior, new appliances, comfortable beds. Overall seems it is not ready to be rented out, needs MUCH more attention to make it a comfortable space. Disadvantages: has a cabin type smell, right off a very busy road/not walkable area, loud road and train noise (high speed train directly out the backyard area), sparsely furnished (no actual kitchen table), no living room coffee table, deck and backyard totally unusable/rundown. Deck needed some major power washing. No usable outdoor furniture. Very steep stairs to upper bedroom, some mold in upstairs shower. Upstairs shower leaked into downstairs bedroom ceiling. Provided 2 sets of towels for 3 people to stay for 3 nights. Shower supplies for 1 of 2 showers. Towel situation was remedied after communicating with owner. No dishwasher but also difficult to hand wash dishes…no sink stopper or dishcloths, 1 hand towel provided. Kitchen set up not conducive to really meal prep or eat a meal in the limited furnishings. Quite disappointed in our choice to stay here. "
