As soon as I check in to this hotel the entire lights in the building shut down. Which cause me to get stuck in the elevator for 10-15 minutes. Also the power wasn’t restored until later in that day. My reservation was cancelled by staff per request print out was giving.

Heights House Hotel - Houston Heights Downtown, an Ascend Collection Hotel
The property has been renovated and looks fresh. The staff was friendly at check in and check out. The breakfast was a bit limited on options. Our individual room felt a little humid. While the AC fan was running, it would feel cool but when it wasn’t it was warm.
