"The thing I liked the most was that it wasn't a chain....it felt...local. I liked that. The hotel was clean and well put together. I think I stayed in the older section across the parking lot but it was still very clean. I very much appreciated the staff. The young lady who checked me in was very pleasant and personable. She was definitely a local having grown up in Healy and only making it as far as Fairbanks for college. Very helpful, answered my questions and was an excellent representative for the hotel. Additionally, they were selling drinks and snacks in the lobby......for a dollar a piece. A 12 oz diet coke and a bag of Nilla wafers! The cheapest I have seen in decades and considering it was in Alaska (as expensive as it is) ....I took notice."

"Dinner at the restaurant was amazing! We had the building next to the restaurant and every 25-30 minutes a worker would come out and empty their garbage and slam the lid shut on the big garbage bin. We didn’t get much sleep. They were still cleaning up long after the restaurant closed."

"Terese, the front desk employee, was awesome & super helpful! I read ALL the reviews (before booking) & we were not expecting much, but it was a lot better than we expected. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, with better water pressure and hotter water, but you can't expect much in the middle of a national park-lol! The owners said the water pressure issues are supposed to be taken care of in 2027. Their wifi is wonderful & the views are great!"

"We were very happy with this hotel. Staff were helpful, room was very clean, and we were fortunate enough to have a river behind our balcony! We had an incredible view of the fall trees and could hear and see the rushing water. Our second story room had a high ceiling and wood interior was perfect for Denali. The only downside was that the train is fairly close and we did hear the whistle once at night (this was nothing compared to our horrible experience in Anchorage at a hotel with train whistles all night on both sides of the hotel). I wish the rooms had a microwave and fridge - we used our balcony as a fridge since the temp was right. They did let us use the microwave in the store to make microwave popcorn. We enjoyed Thai food from the food truck in the parking lot."

"Excellent place with an amazing view facing the lake and the mountain and about 30 minutes from Denali park. We find this place clean and quiet with helpful staff. This place is right next to Denali ATV adventure which is also super fun. Overall a very good experience."
