We stayed at Holland America Denali Lodge 3 nights.
They did not clean our rooms once during our stay.
We had to ask for clean towels and when they brought them to our rooms, they asked my wife & I to put the dirty towels in a bag to remove from our room.
This is NOT the kind of stop the level of service I expect from a full-service hotel. At these prices we were very disappointed.
Staff was friendly. Parking was free and close to cabin room. Rooms were basic but met needs - had a call to see northern lights but when we walked outside there were none. Rather it was drizzling so with clouds you can see them, call doesnt make sense
I loved the big clean rooms and comfortable beds especially after 2 days of backcountry hiking in Denali National Park, Each unit is divided into quiet mini compounds giving you a serene view of the Nanana River and Forested grounds.

I was given a room at the very farthest outlying building (building “Z”) which is a long walk, down steep stairs, from the main lodge. Apparently there are shuttles, but they seem few and far between. I opened “my” door and was shocked to see a naked man! He said he had been in that room for a day already. I called the desk to report the mix-up asking for a different room. I explained I was alone and in a remote area and afraid of animals. While waiting, and I swear, I am not making this up! A bear came out of the woods 20 feet away! Apparently the staff know about this bear! I was given a new room (next door to the equally surprised naked man) and I am surely hoping for no more drama! This 63 year old single lady traveler has certainly had enough for one day!

Food was good in hotel restaurant. The property & location were convenient. Our room was a one bedroom king. Carpet was old & furniture was old, shower was good.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The views are spectacular and the staff are amazing. The bus transportation was efficient and organized.
Requested king size bed. Was offered double+single. Eventually was able to get the king size room. Other couple we were traveling with had the same issue and had to keep the room. Signage to the room was inaccurate. The room seems to have been added to the floor after signage was created or the sign was made incorrectly but they couldn’t be bothered to fix the sign. Lobby phone in the building doesn’t work so couldn’t use to ask about the room. Room was at the end of the hall next to maids room and where they unloaded the luggage from the cruise passenger bus. View out the window at the end of the hall was dumpsters. Not what I expected for over $400/night.
Restaurant was a disaster. Servers did not know which table food belonged to. Two of four dishes showed up but the next one took 20 minutes. The fourth dish had to be re-requested as they thought it had already been delivered. Everyone else had already finished by then. Spoke to manager to ensure he was aware. He was well aware. Blamed it on new staff, but no real acknowledgement that management has a responsibility for proper onboarding on new staff. Frankly felt bad for the server.

Dated facilities, double bed not queen! First floor rooms will hear every move of upstairs!
Check in was unacceptable. Politely told our reserved room, king bed, was not available and we had been switched to two single beds. When I objected the young man said he would check with the room supervisor and left me standing at the counter for twenty minutes. I began to speak with another desk agent who told me that even though you are forced to choose a room, and rooms very in price, your forced choice is not guaranteed. Eventually, after 20 more minutes at the desk we were granted the room we had booked. We were not the only ones with that problem. I spoke with another person who had booked two beds for him and his travel partner and were put in a room with only one. Know that we had booked our room 4 months prior to our visit. Holland America can do better.
Great location near Denali National Park! We had a great room down near the river which had beautiful views. Lots of dining options on site and options across the street as well. Would book it again if going to Denali.

Nice property. Lot of dining options, and shuttle service. Nice views from the rooms.
We liked the buses that helped us get around the property. We liked the variety of restaurants and shops. We also liked the activities, games, music, and s’mores offered on the property. It was a beautiful location on the river and very close to Denali National Park.
it was very good stay, we would have loved to stay longer.

Beautiful location. Thank you for helping out breaking the bag lock quickly. Room (especially bathroom) was dated and needs improvement. Front desk Staff attitude also needs improvement.

The property was fine. It was a bit dated and on the edge of shabby for the room condition and furnishings.
The bed was comfortable.
The front desk staff seemed unorganized and not real knowledgeable.
The wait staff were all excellent, the expeditors in the lobby were helpful and friendly.
