The staff were super welcoming and fun! I appreciate the staff making sure our towels got switched out and our room was made up(: they offer a welcome drink which I think is super sweet! Overall it was in the perfect location to navigate the island on our vacation !

This quaint hotel is well managed and it’s a great value considering other more “luxurious hotels” offer some better accommodations but for a ton more money. Staff was excellent and helpful with locating tourist spots nearby. Easy walk to one of the largest malls with never ending stores and places to eat. Easy to get to cruise port and on a Main Street which has a lot of options for getting around via local transit. It’s old but the charm is unique. I would stay there if the opportunity arises.

My partner and I were in town for a convention and stayed at The Equus for a 8 nights. The building is a bit older/outdated, but everything was functional and clean. We had a lot of luggage - the staff was kind and accomodating helping us arrange deliveries, as well as help carry our boxes up the stairs to the elevator. They were accomodating at every turn, truly helping us enjoy our stay in Honolulu. The bed in our room was soo comfortable and we slept soundly every night. The housekeeping staff was also very nice and our room was well-equipped with everything we needed (towels, fridge, great AC).

So this property is advertised on Expedia very nicely. What they don’t tell you is that the parking sucks. Having traveled by myself; I didn’t appreciate that as the parking lot that I ended up in was across the street next to the red lobster. The one right next door that they advertised was not available. This was especially frustrating when on the very first night this caught me by surprise and I didn’t get any help from the receptionist as he had hip surgery and could not walk down. Also need to note that I was glad that I didn’t have my handicapped husband with me cause there were stairs and no way to get to elevator to get to room.

Nice room, good size, good location. Good hotel for the price. One caveat is that the small lobby area is basically a bar, so there are usually people drinking and often being loud. But the bar closes before 11 so it isn't noisy at night. Request a room away from the road if you can,
