"My stay was wonderful, but my room was pretty bare bones. It would be great if that room had a hair dryer, some extra blankets for those of us who get chilly at night, the bathtub is extremely slippery and I had wished that there was a nonslip application in the bathtub, also I didn’t spend much time in my room because there was no chair to sit in other than a desk chair, it’d be nice to have just an inexpensive, but comfortable chair in the corner as you come into the room. Staff was really really good! Breakfast options were fine for me because I typically just eat yogurt and fresh fruit and granola so that was perfect for me!!"

"Our stay at Kings Bay Lodge was wonderful! Chancie at Front Desk sent msg that our room was available for check in early which was perfect timing for us! Candy at Front Desk was also friendly and helpful during our stay! The property was a nostalgic old Florida motor lodge with an excellent location and beautiful water views! It was clean and well maintained inside and out and clearly renovated/updated after the hurricanes in ‘24. The room was spacious, clean, cool and smelled good right when you walked in. Good furniture and tastefully decorated. Clean Kitchette with all the basics and an ice cold full size fridge. Bed and lounge chairs were comfortable and it was pretty quiet during the week and so relaxing & peaceful. The natural springs pool was cool in many ways and the sunsets were amazing! It was a great location and walking distance or very close drive to many attractions or dining. We had a little issue with a few bugs (NOT bed bugs) first night but they must’ve been aware because a pest control company was there the next day to treat & it seemed to go away. We’re Floridians so we’re used to FL bugs so it wasn’t a deal breaker. I would much rather stay here than a boring chain hotel with no view or character any day! Absolutely loved it and we’re definitely planning to stay there again because it was so charming and all the good features won us over!!! ❤️⭐️😎"

"I am a world traveler. I made an error as to my departure date and I needed to stay an extra day. The front desk rebooked my stay, for 1 more day, with a seamless effort, by just saying we will take care of it for you. Breakfast was very good. a well-maintained pantry. My room was spotless and best of all, it was located at the end/rear of the 1st floor hallway. Gess what! No elevator noise, No ice machine noise. No pantry noise. No front desk check-in chatter. No coffee/snack chatter. And best of all the maintenance dept. office was directly across the hall...never heard a noise of their comings and goings. Very clean interior and comfortable room, and the common areas. The exterior areas are wall painted and the shrubbery are in excellent shape. Just let me say. Grate folks doing a super job. "I remember when staying at a Hampton Inn was looking forward to THE MOST comfy, cushy, luxurious beds in the hotel world. Those beds were something else. Pillowtop plush with puffy pampering pillows. It's been a while since I've stayed at a Hampton, so when I booked this reservation, I was thinking that I'd be welcomed back into that comfy, cushy luxurious world of slumber. Sadly, the modern version that I got was nothing like the past version. The room I got felt dated, or outdated. The bed was decently comfortable, but NOTHING like those memories of mine. Pillows were even less. The toilet is VERY low. Like sitting in your toddler grandchild's teatime chair. And the bedframe legs are definite big 'toe stubbers'. I hit my toes on the bed legs several times. That said, I got an okay night's sleep. And SLEEP is the ENTIRE reason for hotels. The number ONE deterrent from gaining a good night's sleep is usually the room air quality. Cold or hot. I had to set the air conditioning at 70 degrees to remain comfortable. It sure did not feel like 70 degrees. Believe me, there were no icicles hanging from the ceiling. The 3rd floor hallway was quite warm, too. The second deterrent to a restful stay is noise. The room was quiet OTHER than the a/c. That machine was rather loud. The ON and OFF cycling of the a/c was distracting and sleep disturbing. I hate to sound picky, but for a review to be helpful, one must be honest. Overall, an ok stay but NOT Hampton perfect."
