Pool was nice and the staff was very friendly! The room was very clean and the beds were very comfy. My only suggestion would be to pressure wash the outside of the buildings as they looked pretty dirty.

The resort is under major renovation due to hurricane damage. Despite everything they have been through its still a good place to stay. The pool was open during my stay. The beds are comfortable and rooms are clean.

In the defense of the hotel, considering they are still in the middle of rebuilding after a few hurricanes back to back, we stayed on the golf course side in a loft when I first got there I did have to do some cleaning because there were spots and a lot of dead bugs all around the walls along the baseboards, I think the worst thing was which is first world problems was the Wi-Fi not working correctly and our defense it was opening day of college football so it mattered a lot to have the TV working and not have to switch between phone, cast, and Wi-Fi TV , other than that our stay was above and beyond perfect it couldn’t have been any better. The staff was excellent.

The resort is under construction because of a hurricane 2 years ago. Room was clean but no soap in kitchen, no paper towels, and no coffee. Room was not serviced as our trash overflowed. Definitely would have liked to have known that the place was under renovation before we booked.

We enjoyed the breakfast. We especially enjoyed talking with Miss Barbara. She gave us some history of the plantation plus insight to the future of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. We were sad it got hit by the hurricanes but new renovation looks great

The hotel is under renovation. It’s a room to spend the night. Excellent location for local attractions and great manatee, fishing and scalloping tours on site. The continental breakfast was not worth waking up for.

Property is obviously going through renovation; several room buildings were closed due to that and the grounds are also going through renovation. The building we stayed in was nice, it was clean and everything worked. The nicest part was the boat ramp and boat parking along the seawall where we could see the boat! They also told us they had security patrol at night. Nothing on our boat was disturbed and it felt safe. Should be a fantastic place once all the renovations on buildings and grounds are complete! Plans displayed looked great!

As of August 2026 they are doing big renovations. Most buildings are closed. The pool was open and clean but kind of messy around it. Our building/room was undated and very nice. None of their restaurants were open. Just seems like it should be fully closed until complete. Once it's done I think it will be beautiful
