We were late arriving, rang to let them know an ETA (9.30pm) and enquired if they were still serving food, they informed us that they had stopped serving food around 8 pm, but that they would cook for us on arrival, which was ideal (particularly for a family of 4, all hungry and tired)! 「My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The place is charming and an experience in itself. It is an old house, but the rooms are in a perfect condition and spotlessly clean. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is great for exploring the area to the west of London, including Salisbury, Bath and Bristol in a car. 」

「A very charming and remodelled village hotel with an excellent restaurant - locals and travelers alike are welcome. Chef creates new dishes depending the daily food availability - mostly local - organic and fresh. Room was very nice, clean and had a new wonderful bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast made to order plus smaller buffet for yoghurt, juices, cereals. We would come back anytime.」

However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.」
