"This hotel is in need of some TLC. The sink had big cracks, the bathroom floor was dirty and had hair on it and it has developed a weird smell since the last time we stayed there."

"I think they are skimping on the staff. Place could really use updating, or they should price the stay more accordingly. My curtains were falling off the track, carpeting had large nasty stains. The bedside table was propped up by a brochure underneath. I was afraid the shower curtain was going to fall off the wall and the toilet paper holder was falling out of the drywall, dangling by screws. There was some kind of creepy crawly in the bathroom when I returned from an event nearby so I checked out and got a room at another hotel for the same cost, which was much better. I feel bad for the staffers I did encounter, who were nice and easy to work with. "

"Booked last minute on Expedia due to flight cancellation. When arriving at midnight front desk clerk tells me the power has been disrupted and they could not take Expedia reservations. Told her it was non refundable and all hotels at DTW were sold out. Her attitude was terrible and she was going to kick me out after a long horrible day in the middle of the night. After some begging she gave me a room. For a 2 star hotel they overcharged knowing travelers were desperate. Never again "

"The shuttle service (Valet Connection) was terrible. This shuttle is operated by an off‑site parking company that also services several nearby hotels, and it was clear their priority was their own parking customers—not hotel guests. At the airport, hotel guests were only allowed on if there were seats left after parking customers boarded. I barely made it onto the shuttle as the last seat, but I heard of others who were left behind and had to wait 30 minutes or more for the next shuttle. The hotel pickup was just as bad. The shuttle did not arrive on time, and the driver initially only wanted to pick up passengers flying on a specific airline. His dispatcher had to tell him to take all of us. He threw the luggage into the shuttle without stacking or securing it (I have photos). He then nearly left my bag at the wrong terminal—Detroit airport is very spread out. Thankfully, I intentionally sat in the back so I could keep an eye on my luggage. Truly awful service. I would avoid this hotel entirely due to how poor the shuttle experience was. "
