Last weekend my son and I drove over to Califonia from Phoenix to purchase a vehicle. After looking at Hotels on the internet, we decided to save some money and stay at the California Budget Motel. Upon arrival, there were a number of shady charectars hanging around the parking lot. Shortly after we got into our room, a vehicle pulled into the parking lot blaring their music for 15 minutes before they got out and proceeded to their room.
The room was wore out. The bathroom sink had numerous cracks and needed to be replaced. The bathtub/shower looked to be painted, to cover up imperfections in the tub. The towels were wore out and stained. The bedspreads were cigarrette burned and tattered. The sheets were worn where you can see through them. Lastly, the curtains were outdated and also cigarette burned.
Upon check out in the morning, my son gave our key to a kid at the front desk (8 to 10 years old) who walked out of the reception area behind my son and yelled across the parking lot to his father, "They are checking out." The father, who I assume is the Manager was in the parking lot hanging out with some guys and his dog.
This Hotel is lacking Management. The effect of this trickles down to every aspect of the experience. It would not take much to clean this place up and actually have a nice "Budget Motel" in Hemet....
