"Location of its facility is surrounded by magnificent and beautiful mountains with lots of green, atmosphere is totally different from big city Tokyo. The owner of pension is quite friendly, and capable to treat guest with "omotenashi" from his long experience. "

"Stayed here on a family holiday in 2 double rooms. Convenient location as we were driving and good value. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms with amenities available as required. Dining options are available nearby; the sushi place directly across the road is excellent! Would be happy to recommend to others who would like a slightly unusual place to stay "

"This place is nestle under the Yatsugatake mountain range. The accommodation is part of a cabin community managed by a hotel in the center. They pick up from the koumi line and drop you off at the cabin of your booking, which range from ones with outdoor tub(6 ft ish) to ones with a kitchen. The cabins are comfortable enough even for long term visit (also quiet). Depending on your cabin it’s a potential walk to the central hotel complex.aside from the main set of buildings there are very few...

"The room was very clean. The free shuttle bus service is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Plenty to eat. Good trails to walk. A very good stay"
"The food is wonderful! As a chain hotel , i wasn't expected the stay, but turns out both dinner and breakfast was above expectation and outperformed other traditional ryokan in my opinion. "
"We drove to Hoshinoya Fuji, as it was dark, the entry towards the check-in area is very easy to missed, suggest to have more road sign leading towards the resort.
Once we checked in, there is a car to pick us up to our room up the mountain. The view of Fuji is stunning, if you are lucky enough to see it. Room and breakfast service are great, and so are the amenities in the resort.
Booking for activities got to be done by 6pm the day before (no exception can be made). Was really interested in the morning kayak, however they need at least a minimum of 2 guests to be able to join which is a pity, as i was travelling with elderly, none of them wanted to do it. Suggest the hotel could instead help to match up the guest joining the activitiy, so more people that do not come in a pair can join as well.
Overall a great once in the lifetime experience. cannot really beat waking up at 5am with Mount Fuji right in front of it. Stunning!"
