"We stayed in a quad room for £130 per night and were quite disappointed. The photos online made the room look modern and recently updated, but in reality it felt very dated, almost as if it hadn’t been refurbished in decades. The room was also not as clean as expected.
One of the biggest issues was the lack of ventilation. The room became very hot, but opening the window-door wasn’t really an option as it allowed insects to come into the room. The roof garden outside also looked neglected and wasn’t an appealing space to sit or relax.
There was no hair dryer provided, which was another inconvenience.
The main advantage of this hotel is its location, being very close to the train station.
On a positive note, all the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
Overall, while the staff and location were good, the condition of the room did not match the expectations set by the photos, and we did not feel the room offered good value for the price paid."
