"Stopped over to break a long journey, great hotel. The staff made it, all really friendly and bent over backwards to help. The food was great, varied menu with some nice twists, and everything we ate was spot on. Great pool too. A little tired in some outside areas (bit of new render wouldn’t go a miss) but lovely grounds. Will definitely use again if passing through and need a refreshing stop."

"Didn’t expect much with the price (and the main photo is of a service station Costa) but just need a quick stop off. Really loud room, it was facing away from the motorway, but nicely has air conditioners (or something) in a court yard outside the window . About 3 hrs sleep. Lady on reception was great though, didn’t get a name, but she was the shiny light in tired old hotel (ask if they’re hiring at the Mercury 😉)"

"Perfect overnight stay before getting on the train to go to Europe. All the staff were super friendly. The grounds are lovely and I would definitely book it again."

"Lovely stay in a very quaint old pub. Can recommend. Food is good too, and real hand pumped ale. Lots of parking."
