Close but pretty quiet
"We have a newly remodeled cottage and it was very nice and clean! The staff we encountered were friendly. The roads on property were a bit rough but at lease the cottage we stayed in was lovely and would stay there again. Only about a 5-10 min drive into bar harbor and about 10-17 min from Acadia ..."

Got food poisoning after eating steamed clams at Helen’s restaurant, in the neighboring town of Ellsworth.

Just bland, stayed here cause of a last minute trip to Acadia and it was only place with vacancy that was cheaper. It was fine, no bugs. Oh there’s one thing I hated! Instead of free soap/shampoo they have a hand sanitizer in shower, just lol!

Theres not a lot to do in Hancock but the surrounding areas have some restaurants, stores, and fun things to do.
