「My room was FILTHY. Toothpaste on the mirror from previous guest. Nose hair or beared hair all over the sink in the bathroom. Sticky stuff on the TV area and just awful; I had to go to the store to buy cleaning products to clean the room before staying there. The only thing good was the woman in the breakfast area doing the food. The food was not good but she was lovely and accommodating. For this type of chain clean it up. WON'T stay again.」

「The woman that checked us in was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean. All the necessary soaps and linens were available. The bed was a little softer than we are used to, but still very comfortable. The A/C unit was easy to control. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and fresh! A good assortment of cereals, bakery items, juice, hot items (make your own waffles, a pre-made omelet tea, sausage patties and home fries). Would definitely book this hotel again.」

The walls in the bathroom were rough from previous changes and paint, with one spot of drywall exposed from something previously hung on it. 「The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...
