"We cycled to the motel so were unable to bring our own food. The motel is a few miles from the nearest restaurant - too far to cycle for a meal out. The manager kindly offered to buy food for us which was there on our arrival. We grilled the sausages on the gas grill. There were tables and chairs next to the grill and undercover. We later sat around a fire. The wood was provided free of charge. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. "
"This is a quaint, historic inn and has the antique furniture and period wallpaper to give the proper ambience. Sarah Levy, the innkeeper, was terrific, the food was excellent, and I loved being able to look out the windows of the diningroom to watch the hummingbirds, other birds (black-backed woodpecker!) and stream. Lovely and relaxing-- just what I was seeking."
"Pricey but not overpriced. Historic but not geriatric. Beautiful, well-kept property that makes for a pleasant getaway. I suspect there was some short staffing issues, but nothing that upset our trip. Our expert bartender knew how to mix a very nice Hugo Spritz, most likely an unusual order in that area. It was greatly appreciated."
