"Great points;
Staff were really helpful. There was one issue, but it was resolved so quickly and to satisfaction that its not even worth going into the details. They worked tirelessly and were all incredibly friendly.
Room was perfectly spacious, plenty of necessities in the room, plus some additional (rare there's NICE conditioner in a hotel room so plus points).
Breakfast was really lovely, plenty choice and replenished quickly.
The room was warm - but they provided a fan which did its best to keep the room cool and we both slept well.
Negative;
It was a warm day, and outside the smell of the tanks was overwhelming if you were in the direction of the wind. Unfortunately this was where the seating was, unless you wanted to sit beside the lake (again, lovely), but its a bit of a walk back to the bar and the midges have a feast."
"A wonderful old country house for an overnight stay. The staff were exceptional, from check-in, through evening meal, to check-out. Welcoming, friendly and professional.
We had an excellent meal in The Grill.
The view from our room was spectacular."
"The room was clean as always, stayed here a few times now. This time in the main hotel as we had our dog with us so had a pet friendly room and it was lovely.
My only issues around the hotel are the lack of air con in the room and in the W restaurant. I realise this current weather isn’t the norm, but a fan isn’t the greatest. The staff are always fab, and otherwise it was a nice stay. Room was spacious which helped when having our pet
Will possibly stay again in future"
"Lovey view from room 53 balcony despite on-going building works. Spacious and relaxing room, although I don’t know what the purpose of so many cushions on the bed are. Breakfast had a great choice and my cooked selection was excellent. Helpful and friendly staff. Had to wait now and then at busy times."
