"My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham was extremely disappointing and far below what you’d expect from a Hilton property. They charge for parking, yet the lot is poorly maintained with trash scattered around, and the speed bumps are unnecessarily high to the point of being ridiculous. Charging extra for that level of upkeep is unacceptable. The problems only got worse inside. The pool was dirty, the room had insects running around , and the bathroom was in terrible condition. The shower head was loose and not properly attached, and there were dark spots around the shower that appear to be mold—completely unacceptable from a cleanliness and health standpoint. To top it off, the bed was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel is poorly maintained and not worth the cost. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone"

"Room was very clean minus under the bathroom sink had black mold underneath it. And only one working elevator which made check out extremely annoying because of the luggage carts and full elevators. Waited 25 mins just to be able to get to the main lobby."
