Just after the mountain top villages while on the way from Heraklion to Malata I saw this amazing view with what I believe is a farmhouse on the edge of a cliff.. Would likely be even better during sunset.

(I'm not 100% sure exactly where #ontheroad this view is so placed the marker where I think it was)

"We enjoyed our stay here - the staff answered messages quickly, and the room although basic had everything needed for a few nights stay including a small well equipped kitchen area (kettle, coffee machine, stove hob). Bathroom was small but perfectly useable. A bit more information about the area would be useful but that's what the internet is for. Check in was via a coded key pick up. The location is about 15 minutes walk from main areas of the town. "

"Do not stay here! When I booked the property it said I could check in at 2:00, I had to call the number provided five times before somebody sent me any check-in information. I was told I couldn't check in until 3:00 and when I did check in the apartment was filthy with bugs crashed all over the wall and other disgustingness. All I wanted was a clean place to stay for one night after a 12-hour flight. Unfortunately this was not provided."

"Great apartment right at the center of Heraklion, lots of nice cafes and restaurants in waking distance. The place is tastefully done, brand new and very clean. We had a great time and can absolutely recommend it."

It was very infuriating since you pay to get to a place and rest and I couldn't do it that first night. I will give the place two star because the location is amazing.
