Very responsive host and the remarkably clean and organized hotel room with secured/easy access was conveniently located in the city center near the Herakleion port. Restaurants and shopping district within walking distance. The host guided me through greatly with finding a parking spot which I appreciate very much. Coffee, tea, a small bottle of ouzo & other assortments were kindly accommodated, such sensible gestures added a wonderful memory to my experience in the famous greek hospitality. There is a very nice local restaurant (Plani) very close from the hotel (great wine & foods) & it had a great atmosphere. The water pressure of the shower could be a little better, but the quality cotten sheets & mattress were addition to its perfection. I would stay again in the near future.

Boris In Iraklio.

Well-maintained apartment from the 70’s. There was a nice partial sea view from the main terrace. Amenities include full kitchen with dishwasher, and washing machine. Furthermore, a powerful aircon/heater unit assured the right temperature in the large living/dining room. This is important b/c the unit receives zero sunshine, due to its position and taller buildings facing it. This is good news in the summer, but not so nice in February. Great cleaning service midway through stay. Bed mattress quite firm. Excellent location for travelers as both bus/taxi station and Heraklion’s central square are a convenient 12-minute walk away. Car rental office 30 meters away. Basic cable offered, so some Western European News channels available, but no CNN, also no ESPN or Eurosport. Overall, highly recommended for tourists who intend to travel extensively in Crete, with Heraklion as a base!

Wonderful accommodations. The kitchen was great for whipping up meals. There is a store within a 2 minute walk to get all your supplies. Wonderful avenues with all the shops are less than a 5 minute walk. Coin laundry on the next corner, you can drop off and pick up same day. You can see the water from the front step. Get the guide for your stay and read it in advance. (I did not get my email notification with the guide until quite some time after I arrived, although the host sent it, I did not see it because the notification did not alert me.) It tells you important information, espcially if you arrive at night when it's hard to get your bearings. You have to push a button to start the hot water about 30 minutes before you will be needing it, so be in the know. But the hot water is plenteous and the shower is wonderful. The two beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment! I hope to return.
