I had a very recent stay here with a significant other and I have to say we had the time of our life! Carolyn and her husband were impeccable communicators, friendly, obliging and absolutely amazing. The facilities were beyond awesome, the pool and spa clean and fully accessible. Our two bedroom apartment was wonderfully cool when we walked in, the beds comfortable and generous, and we even enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. We will not hesitate to stay there again and encourage others to do the same. Thank you!!!

When we walked in the door to checkin we were greeted with hearty welcome. During the checkin process we were shown all of the necessary areas to make our stay pleasant. When checking out were given a personal farewell.

Budget Experience

Surfers Chalet is located conveniently across the road from the Beach and a good walk from Surfers Paradise. We were accommodated in one of Surfers Chalet's hotel rooms. The room served its purpose of somewhere to sleep as we had activities planned during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. If you plan to spend any significant time in your room I would not recommend this provider - here is why. Air-conditioning is provided by a portable unit which provides cool air however is extremely loud. Drinking glasses were unclean. Television reception was poor (half the channels were not useable). Sound insulation is poor and as such you do overhear what is happening in adjacent rooms. Room aesthetics and layout are below average.

Wonderful place to stay

This was a pleasant experience nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Steve and Sue Martin. The rooms were a bit dated but they were very clean and comfortable and had the facilities for making our own breakfast and tea and Coffee. It is well situated being close to the new tramway, surf club for dining and a short 10 minute walk into Surfers Paradise. We wish to thank Sue and Steve for their great hospitality. We would definitely be going back.

This place was simply amazing to stay at, I couldn't really say a bad thing about it. The Room was comfortable and immaculate, staff were friendly and helpful and it was very close to shops, Nightlife and beach. A++

nice and close to the beach and tram. was a little worried that the traffic noise below would be annoying but once we went to sleep you couldnt hear it. staff were friendly and helpful. tram being close by helped. great weekend

Home away from home

Although this was an older establishment, Surfers Chalet was perfect for our family stay.. Good sized rooms, comfy beds, beautifully furnished, pool & spa plus a park across the road & beach access. Only a 10 minute stroll to the night life, but far enough away to escape the noise. Friendly staff could not be more helpful- really lovely, welcoming people. We'd stay here again for sure.
