Great place to stay!
Really nice location and view. Truly friendly people. Convenient to shopping and travel to main roads. Really want to revisit in summer to see the missed sights.

The owners and personnel were professional, helpful & accommadating. Everything was in pristine condition - the office, pool, outside areas, deck furniture, and most importantly, the room & bathroom. The bed was made up with exceptionally clean, soft linen & blankets, The bathroom was spotless & sparkling. We highly recommend the Sea Lion Motel.

Our stay was a brief overnighter, but it was very satisfactory. The free breakfast is in the small office and is only a cold continental breakfast, which we passed on.

We were only in Gloucester for one night. The Sea Lion Motel was a perfect stop. It is convenient to downtown, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The on-the-go breakfast offering were helpful too. Our son is getting married in Gloucester next August and we will pass on information about the Sea Lion to the bride's family so it can be included in places to stay.

The staff at the front desk and the cleaning woman are very friendly. Continental breakfast is served every morning which has a good variety for a small motel. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. There's a gas grill on the property with outside bistro tables for sitting. There's also cottages other than the motel which are very nice also. Definitely a great place to stay.

The staff was great. It’s about halfway between Rockport and downtown Gloucester. It is off of a main road, but quiet. It’s close to a shopping plaza so if you forget your toothbrush Walgreens is just a 5 minute walk away. Lisa was great. She had us laughing . Looking forward to staying there again.

Staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. Everything was working well and the room was spacious. The pool area was clean but the chlorine levels were a bit excessive. Housekeeper was wonderful and she went out of her way to help us out. Continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. There wasn’t much space outdoors and located on a busy street.

Weekend is minimum two nights. Should have canceled the whole stay. This information needs to be shared upfront when booking. I tried revising my stay 2 weeks in advance. They wouldn’t even consider my request. They even got rude Saturday when we told them we might or might not be back for Saturday night. Bedsheets were course and uncomfortable. Guests were loud. Parking was scarce.

we checked in a bit early (room was ready) staff was great. only thing was some kids above us were loud (note I didnt say anything) room was clean some chairs just outside room were there to sit if we choose. price was great. much more of a comfortable feeling and setting, pool was open but still a bit early in the year for a swim. close enough to downtown and rockport also
