Top Gerðuberg Cliffs Hotel Reviews
Hótel Fransiskus Stykkishólmi
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel . It’s very close to the ferry (west fjords connection ). Surprisingly the hotel is part of a previous convent/school/hospital . It still has a functioning beautiful church chapel . The hotel is very clean , and the only hotel in our 15 day trek through Iceland that actually provided housekeeping on the second day without asking .Overall beautiful little town close to the national park ."
Miðhraun - Lava Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice stay, beautiful resort."
Eiðhús Apartments
8/10 Good
"Beautiful place in a scenic pastoral location! So relaxing. Lots of places on the Snæfellnese Peninsula using this rental as a base. The kitchenette was a big plus. I stocked up on groceries and fixed almost all of my breakfasts and dinners and packed sandwiches for hiking. The nice back porch with seating was also a great benefit. My only complaint was that messages went unanswered in hotels.com between January (when I booked) and August (when I stayed). I even got concerned that the property had closed so I made an international call from the U.S. to Iceland to find out. All was well. During my stay I also had some questions that went unanswered via hotels.com/email. I was able to get answers again via the provided phone number."
Hotel Snaefellsnes - formally Hotel Rjukandi
10/10 Excellent
"This is a cute roadside motel that felt straight out of an Iceland travel magazine. The staff were kind enough to wait beyond their normal check in time to be there for our check in. The rooms were clean and large. Our only issues were there was not good drainage for the shower so water got all over the bathroom and we had to use multiple towels to stop it up but they only give you a few towels to begin with so that wasn’t great. Also there is no fan in the bathroom so our room was steamy and wet for a long time after our showers. We finally propped a door open in the middle of the night to try to air it out more. The bed was comfy and overall there was good lighting and again the rooms were nice and big. Breakfast was good! We wished that it had things like scrambled eggs or some “hot” items but it was still quite good and the service staff for it were very kind. Overall, good experience and we would stay again!"
Seljaland ferðaþjónusta
10/10 Excellent
"The little cottages are a treat to stay in. The owner is friendly You need to bring evening meal food, but breakfast is very good if you order and pay for it. A great base for visiting Snaefelsnes Peninsular."
Lynghagi House - Lava Water
10/10 Excellent
"This property had such a gorgeous view. The home was spacious (beds for 9 people) and a half bathroom that I hadn’t expected. The house was bright and well-furnished and the kitchen had all the basics we needed for our short stay."
Hotel Vesturland
10/10 Excellent
"Parking is limited if you are running late in the day. We parked on the street. Great staff and easily accessible to the town."
Stykkisholmur Inn
8/10 Good
"We walked to dinner from the hotel. Cute little town."
Eldborg Cabins & Guesthouse
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was a remote base to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It was clean and comfortable for our family of 4 including 2 teenage boys. The geothermal hot tub was a fun treat too. The hike to Eldborg Crater was a nice adventure with great views from the (steep) summit."
