"I really enjoyed my 2 week stay at coalminers cottage. I felt the cottage was extremely clean and cosy, which was important for me as i grieve my Mam. I looked forward to returning from a busy day, to such a warm, comfortable space. Communication with Dylan was spot on. I will be back!!!"

"The property was good for a cheap and quick stay for the Great North Run. The staff are nice and the property is clean. They do not provide soap, shampoo, toothpaste. There is no hair dryer. The matress sags. They only have a fitted sheet and a comforter. Buses nearby. Metro is 15 mins away. 15 mins walk to riverfront."

"Property was immaculate and everything you would need for a stay. We were on the ground floor at the back however there was a generator at the back of our room on the wall outside that was on all night quite loud so found it difficult to sleep. "

"It was not how it was described in the advert. Di not be misled. Its a student dig. So expect as such even if the advert painted it as an apartment"

"The whole process of being able to stay there was awful. I had emails asking me to verify my identity but no correct link sent. I was threatened with a cancellation without refund desite the fact they had not given me the opportunity to do what they asked. Having finally been sent a link I verified and arrived to be told this was very common. At the property Fire Doors were constantly janmed open."

"Great stay Stayed as we were running the GNR Very busy over this weekend but the staff was amazing and friendly !! The hotel even put out lots of extras for the runners in reception like bottles of water bananas sis gels and sweets on a help your self basis which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very nice with nice ingredients etc."
