Our stay at the Huntsman was very pleasant. The room was clean and large and the bed was very comfortable. I was unable to adjust the temperature by the thermostat but the windows opened so I was able to cool the room. The restaurant and bar are located on site. Both are welcoming. The restaurant menu is varied and the food is well prepared. Free parking is available in front of the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very good. Our bedroom was small, but okay. However, the bathroom needs attention. Super large, but smelled very strongly of bleach when we first arrived. By the 2nd day, the smell turned kind of musty. If the bathroom could be updated or cleaner, our rating would have been a 4.

Beautiful, HUGE room, well appointed. The entire place was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The one MINOR issue was that our room carpet was stained and the staff didn’t vacuum it when they cleaned the room. But it was still definitely one of our best stays in Ireland! Highly recommend

The property was unique in that it is above a pub/restaurant. The room was very spacious, but the carpet was obviously stained and needed a good shampoo cleaning. The room itself was clean in every other way. It had all the amenities one would want in a hotel room. Breakfast was not included. We ate at the pub below and had a fantastic breakfast of avocado toast with a poached egg and arugula/rocket. Delicious and healthy. We also had an açaí bowl which was wonderful too, as were the fresh baked scones. This hotel was not in walking distance to downtown Galway which is something to be considered. We Uber’d to downtown where we ate at Monroe’s. They had a great Irish stew and a great roast chicken dish. We recommend both. All the staff was friendly and welcoming in both the hotel and restaurant.

It was approximately 3/4 mile from city center - we are walkers so that was fine. The bus picks up right out front. The restaurant was excellent and wait staff good and helpful with suggestions for sightseeing.

Good location, friendly staff, easy parking. Our room was overly warm however and no one is at the front desk to help after 6 pm. Need staff at the front desk all day.

Room and bathroom were large butcould not adjust the thermostat in the room. Could have been operator error. Street outside hotel was busy but so was all of Galway. Had good experiences in the hotel pub and restaurant.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and considerate. We spent a fair amount of time, enjoying meals and beverages at the restaurant, which was fantastic. What would’ve improved our stay was a matter of temperature and comfort in the actual room. It was hot. Perhaps having a fan or should the hotel install a split unit air conditioner to make for a more comfortable night sleep. The outside area was noisy, and therefore leaving the window open impacted ability for a good night sleep. How compliments to the staff for their thoughtfulness and kindness.
