Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. "Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. Other than that, the stay was perfect and I would absolutely come stay again. The...

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

Top Fuefuki Hotel Reviews

Kasuitei Ohya

Kasuitei Ohya

10/10 Excellent
"This is our second stay at this ryokan and onsen. We booked a tatami room for 5 people and it was a comfortable stay, though a bit cramped. If you want a private onsen, get there early because they were all booked by the time we arrived for check-in at 3pm. We did manage to book the private onsen for early the next morning. The public onsens were also very relaxing and easy to use. The kaiseki meals were amazing and they gave us a private room for dining. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station along wobbly roads so if you have luggage, it's not great. Unfortunately, we arrived around 1pm and the hotel luggage transportations were all closed and taxis were unavailable. Still a great experience and I'd stay here again if I went back to the lake."
