A wonderful place of shops, restaurants and bars. It's a tourist mecca. One winery is a must-William Chris for the best Texas wine. The four-lane highway through the middle of the shopping area was not what I was expecting.

We thoroughly enjoyed Enchanted Rock (didn't have a day pass but got there at 8:30am and several no-shows allowed us to enter) and the WW2 Pacific Theater Museum. The Altstadt Brewery was excellent as well.

The Museum of the Pacific is an outstanding museum. It is thorough and modern. The two hours we allotted were insufficient. And downtown is very quaint!
